Question / Problem

How do I change setup settings after my EI-501 Series timer is already configured?

Common Application / Operating Conditions

• The timer has completed initial setup.
• The display is on the Home screen.
• You want to change a clock, calendar, time zone, Astronomic Zone or Daylight Saving Time setting.

Step-by-Step Resolution

1. Enter the Setup Settings

   Press and hold Set until the time begins flashing.

2. Review or Change the Time

   Use + or - to change the current time. Continue through the clock to switch between AM and PM. Press Set to continue.

3. Review or Change the Date

   Use + or - to change the year, then press Set. Repeat for the month and day.

4. Review or Change the Time Zone

   Use + or - to select the correct time zone, then press Set.

5. Review or Change the Astronomic Zone

   Use + or - to select CENTER, SOUTH, HAWAII, ALASKA or NORTH. Press Set.

6. Review or Change Daylight Saving Time Settings

   Use + or - to turn Daylight Saving Time (DST) on or off.

7. Finish and Return Home

   Press Set after the DST setting. The timer returns to the Home screen.

Tips / Additional Notes

• Press Set without making a change to move past a setting that is already correct.
• The timer saves the previous screen when you advance to the next setting.
• After changing the date or Astronomic Zone, review the calculated dawn and dusk times.
