How do I create ON/OFF schedules on an EI-501 Series timer?

Common Application / Operating Conditions

• Initial time, date, time zone and Astronomic Zone setup is complete.
• The timer supports up to 20 programs, with one ON event and one OFF event in each program.
• An event can use a fixed time, dawn or dusk.

Step-by-Step Resolution

1. Open the First Program

   Press Program. PRG 1 and ON flash on the display.

2. Open the Day Selection

   Press Set to select the days when the ON event will run.

3. Select the ON Days

   Use + or - to choose one of the available day groups:

   • Every day
   • Monday through Friday
   • Saturday and Sunday
   • Sunday through Thursday
   • Friday and Saturday
   • An individual day

4. Set the ON Time

   Press Set. Press Sun/Moon to select dawn, dusk or the manual time-entry screen. For a fixed time, use + or - to choose the desired time.

5. Open the OFF Event

   Press Program to save the ON event and advance to the OFF event for the same program.

6. Set the OFF Days

   Use + or - to select the days, then press Set.

7. Set the OFF Time

   Press Sun/Moon to choose dawn, dusk or manual time entry. Use + or - when entering a fixed time.

8. Save and Exit

   Press Program to advance to the next program, or press Home to return to the Home screen. Select AUTO mode to run the schedule.

Tips / Additional Notes

• Each ON or OFF setting is a separate event, and each program contains both events.
• Check AM and PM carefully when entering fixed times.
• Review existing programs before adding another schedule to avoid overlapping events.
