Question / Problem
How do I program my ET70000 timer for basic ON and OFF operation on all days?
Common Application / Operating Conditions
These steps apply when creating a simple daily schedule where one or more circuits turn ON and OFF at the same time every day of the week. Programming applies only to the circuits that are enabled during setup.
Step-by-Step Resolution
Start in RUN
Move the RUN/SET switch to RUN before enabling or disabling circuits.
Select Circuits to Program
Enable only the circuits you want to schedule and disable all others.
Enter Programming Mode
Move the RUN/SET switch to SET.
Open the Programming Menu
Press PROG.
Select All Days
Press ALL/0 to apply the ON and OFF times to all seven days, then press OK.
Enter the ON Time
For a sunset-based ON event, press ASTRO once. For a fixed ON time, enter the time and press AM or PM.
Confirm the ON Time
Press OK.
Enter the OFF Time
For a sunrise-based OFF event, press ASTRO once. For a fixed OFF time, enter the time and press AM or PM.
Confirm the OFF Time
Press OK.
Add Additional ON/OFF Pairs if Needed
Repeat the ON and OFF steps to add more events for all days.
Optional: Overnight Operation
If you need lights to turn ON after a power outage that occurs after midnight but before sunrise, add an ON time of 12:00 a.m.
Save the Schedule
Move the RUN/SET switch back to RUN.
Tips / Additional Notes
- Use ASTRO for schedules that adjust automatically with sunrise and sunset.
- Double-check AM and PM entries when using fixed times.
- Programming changes do not take effect until the switch is returned to RUN.
Troubleshooting
- Program did not run: Ensure you selected ALL/0 for all seven days and returned the switch to RUN.
- Lights turn off after midnight: Add a 12:00 a.m. ON event if overnight operation is needed.
- Unexpected ON/OFF times: Verify AM/PM entries and whether the event was programmed as a fixed time or an ASTRO time.
