Question / Problem
What should I do when my T100 Series mechanical time switch loses power?
Answer
T100 Series time switches use a clock motor that requires a constant power supply to maintain accurate time. When power is lost, the clock motor stops and timekeeping pauses until power is restored. Any scheduled ON or OFF events that occur during the outage will be missed.
After Power Is Restored
To restore accurate time, pull the dial outward to disengage it from the clock motor, then rotate the dial until the current time aligns with the time pointer on the housing. Release the dial to re-engage the motor.
After the dial is set, verify that the load is in the correct state for the current time. If the scheduled state does not match the actual load state, manually move the ON/OFF lever on the timer to the correct position to synchronize the switch with the schedule.
Tips / Additional Notes
- T100 Series mechanical time switches do not have battery backup. Scheduled events are missed during a power outage, and the dial must be reset after power is restored.
