   Weatherproof covers are designed and rated for specific orientations. Some models are vertical only. Some models are horizontal only. Some models are rated for both vertical and horizontal.

2. Mount to an Electrical Box

   Weatherproof covers must always be mounted to a properly installed electrical box. Do not install directly to a wall surface or structure without a box.

3. Avoid Upward-Facing Installations

   Weatherproof covers are not designed to be installed facing up. Installing in this orientation will void the rating and compromise protection.
