How to Read the Date Code
The three-character date code consists of a two-digit number followed by a letter. The two-digit number identifies the week of the year in which the product was manufactured. The letter identifies the year of manufacture.
For example, a date code of 25M indicates the 25th week of 2018, which is approximately mid-June.
The year letter repeats every 26 years. The following table shows the current year-letter sequence:

Where to Find the Date Code
The date code may be stamped directly on the product in ink, included on a product label or printed on a small dedicated date code label. Stamped date codes may use low-contrast ink and may be easier to see when viewed at an angle.
Date codes may also appear on enclosure door labels, internal mechanisms or subassemblies such as motors. In general, the latest date code is used for warranty determination.
